Evelyn lives in Santa Cruz, California, but started her life in an edgy little steel town with a large immigrant population in Youngstown, Ohio. She is strongly influenced by Andy Warhol's iconic images and her history of icons, myths, and superstitions. Her work represents a time period, a look, a culture, that other people can connect to. She manipulates the images to create a certain mood and feeling, something you can feel, a transportation to another time, another era, something that words can't express. |
